Perhaps the area in which the Company has been making the most impact in the community is in the provision of education service by tapping abundant human and material resources available in the Polytechnic to provide courses to the teeming youths, and from among the working class, those who are passionate to improve on their education. What is now called ‘STREAM B’ courses have been offered in collaboration with the Institution’s Departments as from the late 1990s, leading to award of National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), Diploma and Certificates in almost all courses offered in the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi. In fact in April 1999, a satellite campus was opened at Kaltungo, Gombe state which catered for a lot of successful candidates who were graduated during 3 years operation of the campus. The campus was closed down in 2001 as a result of Government ban on operating satellite campuses by tertiary Institutions.
Another aspect in this area has been the provision of post Graduate Diploma (PGD) courses being offered in conjunction with Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria in the fields of Business Administration, Public Administration and Accountancy, likewise with the University of Agriculture Makurdi (UAM) in the area of Food Science and Technology. The courses by ABU were however halted in 2013 by the National University Commission (NUC), but efforts are being made by the management to resolve the issues that were responsible for the order.
